The small jobs that keep a long-lived home comfortable
Most of what makes an older home easier to live in is ordinary carpentry done properly, not a renovation. It's the work we do every week:
- Grab bars and handrails mounted into solid backing, not just drywall
- Thresholds smoothed and trip hazards taken down
- Lever handles in place of round knobs
- Brighter lighting, and switches moved within easy reach
- Interior and exterior handrails checked and made solid
- Doors and cabinets adjusted so they open with one hand
No job is too small to put on the list, and nothing gets a strange face at the door — whoever we send arrives already briefed by the home's record.
Manageable from another city
A parent stays the homeowner; an adult child can run the practical side from their phone. The membership documents the home once, then everything lives in one app thread — you add a task, see the before-and-after photos, and approve the work, whether you're across town or across the country. When the crew arrives, the home record briefs them, so nobody's on the phone walking a stranger through the house.
When no one's local to notice
Annual Membership is $500/yr: access plus labor at $125/hr for the work you book, 2 free hours every membership year, and an annual Home Health Check that covers mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roof, foundation, exterior, and kitchens and baths — so the small stuff gets caught early, even when no one's checking in person.
How the membership works
