About
We started by inspecting homes. Then we couldn’t stop fixing them.

The walk-through · where it starts
Hello Handy grew out of years spent inside San Francisco and Peninsula homes — thousands of them, seen up close, crawl space to ridge line. That much time in other people’s houses builds an eye for what fails and why, and it taught us two things. First: almost every expensive problem was a cheap problem first — the deck board that could have been sealed, the flashing that could have been re-caulked. Second: homeowners already knew about most of it. The list existed. What didn’t exist was anyone dependable to hand it to.
The trades weren’t built for that list. A contractor wants a project. A gig app sends a stranger who’s never seen your house and won’t see it again. So the loose molding stays loose, the pictures stay leaning against the wall, and the dry rot keeps eating the stairs.
Membership fixes the economics. Because you’re not a one-off job, we can document your home properly, brief every crew we send from that record, and charge one published hourly rate instead of padding quotes against the unknown. Because we’ll be back, we fix things like we’ll be the ones looking at them next — we will be.
The mission, plainly: take home maintenance off the plates of homeowners across San Francisco and the Peninsula — one trusted team, one list, nothing to chase.

Why we fix it like we’ll be back
Because we will be. Your home record is walked, written, and kept current, so whoever we send arrives already knowing the house — and answers for the work. The crew may change. The knowledge doesn’t. That’s the whole difference between a membership and a stranger from an app.
